One fine morning, Jim Russell put on a tuxedo and a bow tie, bought some gorgeous roses and a box of chocolates and went to a hospital to wish his wife Elinor happy 57th anniversary of their wedding.
And a happy one it was indeed! Jim managed to impress not only his lovely spouse, who hadn’t expected anything like it, but the entire hospital staff as well.
Elinor was hospitalized a month ago and couldn’t celebrate the happy day at home. And so her family decided to bring the celebration to her.
’The kids thought it would be great to organize something special for the occasion, so I dressed up and went to see my bride,’ said Jim.
’Lying in a hospital bed all day, you get bored, so when they came in, it made me smile like I used to in my younger days, when we spent our time dancing,’ beamed Elinor
We here at Bright Side believe that Jim’s surprise for his sweetheart is convincing proof of the fact that true feelings can burn strong through 57 years of marriage and beyond!
