All kids get easily scared by the look and atmosphere of hospitals and operating rooms. They’re often afraid to be alone surrounded by strangers. One time, a two-year-old Chinese girl needed to have heart surgery. As soon as she got to the operating room, she began to cry and called for her father all the time. In an effort to console her, a heart surgeon picked up his little patient, hugged her and showed the girl some cartoons to help her calm down.
Life is a precious gift
A Chinese couple was having their wedding photo shoot at a seaside resort in the northeast of Dalian. Suddenly, they spotted a man who was being dragged to the shore. The bride, a qualified nurse, immediately realized that the man had suffered a heart attack while swimming. She rushed over to the man, and without paying any attention to her bridal makeup and dress, performed CPR for almost 20 minutes.

These newlyweds from Kaliningrad, Russia, asked their family members and friends to give them pet food instead of flowers and other wedding presents. After having their beautiful ceremony and reception, they donated all the ‘presents’ to the local animal shelter.

However, it was not her newfound riches that made her insanely popular, but the promise she made before taking part in the game. The teacher said she was planning to use all the money to buy a new pair of winter boots for every student in her school. And she did!
Baby deer refused to leave the man who saved her
Darius Sasnauskas, a tourist from Lithuania, lived temporarily near Yellowstone National Park in the US. During his time there, he witnessed two baby deer being born in the backyard of his house. Unfortunately, one of them had an injured leg and couldn’t follow the others as they moved off. Darius couldn’t bring himself to leave the fawn alone and helpless, and decided to take care of the animal. It took a lot of hard work and patience, but soon the baby deer got used to the man who saved her. Darius tried to release the fawn back into the wild but she just refused to leave him. Nonetheless, a couple of days later, the baby deer was happily reunited with her family.
Little Rapunzel
Holly Christensen, a former oncology nurse, came up with the idea of making a Rapunzel wig out of yarn to support Lily, a friend’s daughter, who was diagnosed with cancer last year. The girl loved the wig and played with it all the time. That very day Holly decided to start The Magic Yarn Project, which makes Disney princess wigs for kids fighting against cancer and undergoing chemotherapy.
Make way for ducks!
Ducks in England got their very own walking lanes. ‘The Canal & River Trust’ initiative painted a white line marking off areas to be used by ducks and ducklings in London, Birmingham, and Manchester. The initiative encourages people to be more careful and attentive when walking or biking along waterways and lower the speed.
